Abhijeet Gupta (born October 16, 1989) is an Indian chess player with the title Grandmaster. He hails from Bhilwara in Rajasthan.

He was awarded the title of Grandmaster in 2008, having previously become an International Master in 2005. In 2002, Gupta entered the Limca Book of Records on becoming the youngest National junior (under-19) champion at the age of 13 years and 10 days. He has won 14 international medals, including six gold medals from the Asian, Commonwealth and British Championship age-group categories.

On August 15, 2008, he won the World Junior Chess Championship at Gaziantep, Turkey, ahead of many other strong players, including Maxim Rodshtein, David Howell and Hou Yifan. He is the third Indian to win this prestigious championship, which carries with it the FIDE Grandmaster title. He also made GM norms at the Andorra Open 2006, New Delhi (Parswnath) 2007 and Balaguer 2007 tournaments. In 2008, he won the 6th Parsvnath Open in New Delhi.[1] In 2011 he came first in the 13th Dubai Open Chess Championship[2] and tied for 2nd-4th with Tigran L. Petrosian and Magesh Panchanathan in the 3rd Orissa International GM Open Chess Tournament.[3]
